Reported approval of project premature

TUCSON, AZ (December 13, 2013) – Contrary to published reports, the Coronado National Forest has not officially approved the Rosemont Copper Project. The formal approval of the project is several months away. A press conference Monday, Dec. 16 will clarify the context of the draft decision and the steps necessary for Rosemont Copper to obtain final approval for the project. Hard copies of the Final Environmental Impact Statement and draft Record of Decision are available for review at all Coronado National Forest offices and selected public libraries as depicted on the attached map.
