Preliminary Reclamation and Closure Plan for the Barrel Alternative
As a component of Rosemont’s overall environmental stewardship vision for the Rosemont Copper Project, this Preliminary Reclamation and Closure Plan (Plan) for the Barrel Alternative has been designed to meet regulatory requirements through a concurrent reclamation and closure approach. This approach also provides a template for operational measures that will be employed during the life of the facility. Rosemont submitted a Reclamation and Closure Plan in August 2007 to address reclamation and closure of the facilities shown in the 2007 MPO. In response to the United States Forest Service (USFS) selection of the Barrel Alternative as the preferred alternative during development of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), this Plan is being submitted.
