The general term for the system of achieving separation of metallic mineral grains from ground-up orei using the mineral’s tendency to adhere to air bubbles in a water bath. Air is bubbled through the ground ore slurry and metallic mineral grains adhere to the air bubbles and are skimmed off the surface of the slurry. Various chemicals (called reagents) are used to enhance the process.
