Minor Changes Made to Website Navigation

In an ongoing effort to help users find content on this website, some minor changes have been made to the top level navigation links located on the green bar at the top of each page. Changes include:

  1. The "About the Project" link was retitled "Project Description." Select this link for an overview of the proposed Rosemont Copper Project, the Mine Plan of Operation, location maps, and the current EIS schedule.
  2. The "Get Involved" link was retitled "Public Involvement." Select this link for information about scoping reports, transcripts and audio recordings of scoping comments, and announcements about any upcoming public meetings, or any other opportunities for public involvement.
  3. A top level navigation link to "Technical Reports" was added. Select this link to find in-depth scientific, engineering, social, and economic data and findings arranged by subject area.

Remember, the quickest way to find information may be to use the Site Search located in the left column of every page. Simply enter key words to search website content.

Forest Service requested cooperating agency assistance in developing frequently asked questions (FAQs) and Questions and Answers (Q&As)

  • Initial request is for the 3 to 5 questions and answers from cooperating agency staffs and constituents
  • Requested submissions be sent to Teresa Ann via e-mail by March 15, 2010

Forest Service polled participants to learn which agencies may have coordination needs for joint public involvement processes. The Forest Service will follow-up with the following cooperating agencies for this aspect of public involvement planning:

  • Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
  • USDI Bureau of Land Management
  • Pima County
  • Tohono O’odham Nation (specific to the Native American Repatriation and Graves Act)
  • Arizona Department of Water Resources
Forest Service requested that cooperating agencies provide Teresa Ann with an e-mail containing contact information for their agency’s primary public involvement staff to expedite future coordination on joint roll-out and public involvement needs.
